Monique Harris first popped up on my radar when she was mentioned in a newsletter I receive from Terry Dean and Kirk Christensen. They were touting her as a marketing guru, so, I decided to take a closer look. She was having success with Dean no doubt. He knows his stuff and he was advocating her Paperless Newsletter.
I found her book titled Make Your Site Sell. Having spent exhaustive hours and lots of money pursuing my own Internet dream with a nationally renowned mentor for over a year, I was curious as to what she would have to say. After all, I had just spent blood, sweat and tears to do the same.
Well, let me say that what I received as an education far surpassed what information I gleaned from Make Your Site Sell. While there may be some gems in there that newbies will find helpful there was just not the quality of information I wanted. This may be a matter of style, but my mentor put me to the ropes and he expected homework done and results produced. And, you followed a process.
Now, Monique Harris has a new book called Make Your Knowledge Sell. She is teaching people how to develop their own information products and how to promote those same information products on the Internet. This book seems more complete in its content to me, and I am a big fan of the concept.
I am keeping my eye on Monique Harris. She’s evolving, in good company, and may end up being a much more powerful force and voice on the net in the future. Read her if you are inclined to do so and let me know what you think.
