What kind of training or education did you acquire before your venture?
Currently I am 51 years old. I begun since 1971 as employee of a great chain of stores as Assistant to Sales Manager and Purchaiser chief later.
My administration carreer was supported with a Bussines Administration Degree in Univesity of Guayaquil and I was worked in some jobs as Brand Manager##comma## Marketing Manager and General Manager in several industries here in Ecuador.
Specially in some american branchs like Standar Brands##comma## American Home Products Corporation and H.F. Fuller Co. IN the last two companies I was General Manager. But always my main professional avenue it was MARKETING AND SALES!
What services or products does your organization offer?
Currently##comma## with my company##comma## I am the owner of Forever Music Radio##comma## 92.5 FM in music##comma## enterteinment business##comma##etc. I have wrote a book (in spanish) about marketing whose title es ##quote##How create a Marketing Plan to win##quote##; also I am instructor in seminars of marketing##comma## sales##comma## administratios and others subjects.
My Work is running in Ecuador.
What type of business or organization do you operate?
My company is a (S.A.) Social Anonimus because I am (with my wife of course) the only one owner.

Directly 7 employees and as coproducers
How did you originally discover the idea for your organization?
The most simple model.
Due to the category of business I disigned it a simple horizontal structure. Additionally the current economical and financial situation of my company is better to be in expectative.

Do you believe there is any distinct culture within your organization? If so, please describe it.
Yes##comma## We are a competitive company being each day the most Customer Service culture.
What obstacles or challenges have you faced in your organization?
The first is the economical situation of the country and some contration in industries and commerce which are my main clients in advertising business.
So##comma## for maintaing sales we are very councious in Customer SErvice##comma## more than our competitors and into our company we are very controlled in expenses. Althought I am looking for new development with the adquisition of other radio for broacasting news and sports##comma## because Forever Music is only musical format.
Did you accept any advice along the way? Do you believe new organizations should be open to such advice?
Very##comma## very important. In my case##comma## I was at first an employee in some important companies where I took note abour some business secrets and I had very special teachers (my boss when I begun). But##comma## I think tha I should was##comma## not a company man##comma## but I should was a independent entrepreneurs since a long time ago##comma## like I am now.

I sell my courses##comma## seminars##comma## books##comma## adversiting to some importants multinational companies.
What have been the keys to success in your business? What do you believe are the keys to success?
The Customer Service and a Personal Positive Attitude.

Being the best each day competing against myself.

A very winner Marketing Plan##comma## being professional creating##comma## organizing##comma## executing and controlling it.

Yes##comma## always being in at the last technology in equipment in order to maintain the best sound and the best songs. Always priorizing ¿what my customer wish?
What role does trust play in business or in your organization?
Yes##comma## putting my confidence in other professional Marketin Manager in a Mall (Commercial Center) who sold me a licence to explote a store of music in that Mall##comma## but I did not know that he never had a Market Investigation##comma## the Mall since 1998 year until now had open and closed a significan number of commercial stores.
Did you struggle with starting your own organization or venture? Why did you decide to begin on your own?
I always had in my mind to be a owner and more##comma## an business advisor.

Do you notice any trends in the marketplace? If so, what are they?
The world globalization is real. It is not wanted##comma## I think##comma## for none##comma## but this is the third revolution: Communication##comma## Knowledge##comma## opinions##comma## personal thinking and decisions.
Do you believe networking and contacts are important? If so, how?
One of the most important keys.
I think that is needed 15% of work and 85% of working with others peoples to applicate your Marketing Plan##comma## also into or outside of your company##comma## and family##comma## and country##comma## and world.
What do you think about contracts and other legal obligations? Are they important in your business?
I am happy becasuse I found context in my development business for others and for myself. Wy work always was a social oriented compromise creating new work places for other peoples. And this did myself an autorealized individual. Who is no prepared to serve other peoples##comma## is not prepared to live (San Pablo)
If there is one thing that would sum up your advice to new entrepreneurs, what would it be?
Etical and moral behavior at first.
Later but very later an MBA.
You prefer to work with good people##comma## and teache them technologies##comma## knowledges and degrees##comma## and you will be an suceesful entrepreneurs.
What, if any, final advice do you have for new entrepreneurs?
Be prepared for and motivated environment. Be happy creating good will for others. Begin with you putting your personality in balance with the external stress. I you are more powerful in your interior than the outside of you##comma## you are preapared to win and maintain your ball soap in intregity all time.
