One of the most common credit card bonuses is mileage business credit cards, which offer airline miles as rewards for the credit card. Airline miles incredibly common, and appealing as they appear to accumulate rather quickly. However, it is always good to be aware of just what sort of offer is being given when the offer is providing “mileage.â€
Business credit cards are, thankfully, less likely to try and trap someone with reward points that are labeled as “miles that is, where you earn 2 “miles†on each ten dollars purchased, but somehow these miles only buy you moderately valued retail gifts with thousands of “miles.†(This is very common for new credit cards; my first credit card was one of these.) Business credit cards are usually much more straightforward, and they tend to give much better deals to their customers.
However, you definitely want to make sure that you are reading the fine print on the mileage; business credit cards geared toward travelers have been changing the deadline for redemption on their miles; in other words, you need to redeem your cards’ rewards within a shorter period of time or you will lose your hard-earned mileage. Business credit cards are doing this, of course, because in these tough economic times, this is a quick way to reduce their payouts and save a small bundle of profits.
Be sure that you are aware of the redemption deadline for your business credit cards, because otherwise your flight just might leave without you.
